Ocean Cruising Liveaboard. Every owner since new has used her for that purpose. As such, she has been equipped, maintained and updated for that purpose constantly. The current owners have sailed her 35k nautical miles in the last ten years in comfort, safety and with good speed. She is equipped and ready for her new owners to continue that mission.
Scintilla is the desirable aft cockpit cutter version of the CT49. And as a late run boat (hull 66), her build benefited from the knowledge and experience of previous boats and the original owners’ skilled input. She has the functional aft cockpit and a unique small center cockpit that gives access to the middle of the boat and temporary deck storage at sea.
If you are thinking of going extended cruising, Alaska, Mexico and beyond, this is a LOT of boat for the money.
